I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to work on this book. The story celebrates families in all their shapes and sizes - something that many a young child can relate to when they feel like their family might just be a little too "special".

I worked very hard on this one, throughout a very busy year (we bought a house), so I'm rather proud that I got it done on time. There were some noteworthy challenges that I have never faced before in illustration, like, how do you keep the same classroom environment interesting for a whole 30 pages, and, how do I build gradual chaos in the environment without repeating the same thing over and over.
